Unlike metal filings, white fillings aren’t sensitive to temperature changes, which can cause tooth cracks and breaks. Additionally, Dr. Clark removes very little tooth structure to place a white filling compared to an amalgam one. With proper maintenance, white fillings can last 10 years or longer.
